Dutch Grand Prix History
2026 is the sixth and final year of the Dutch Grand Prix’s revival. Zandvoort first appeared on the Formula 1 calendar in the 1950s and continued to host races until 1985. In the interim years, the circuit was redeveloped and the event eventually returned to the calendar in 2021, largely due to Formula 1’s renewed popularity in the Netherlands thanks to Max Verstappen’s presence on the grid. Verstappen has since delighted his home supporters with three victories at the track.
About Circuit Zandvoort
The historic Zandvoort circuit is set among the sand dunes on the edge of the North Sea in the popular seaside town of Zandvoort. Only a short distance from Amsterdam, Zandvoort is easily reachable by public transport, which fans are encouraged to use on race weekend.
