Qatar Grand Prix History
Having been a mainstay on the MotoGP calendar for two decades, the Qatar Grand Prix finally joined the Formula 1 calendar towards the end of the 2021 season. After a year off due to the country’s World Cup hosting commitments, the event returned in 2023 and will remain on the calendar until at least the early 2030s. While Lewis Hamilton took victory in the inaugural race, Max Verstappen has been unstoppable here in recent years, winning all of the last three races at the track.
