Bahrain Grand Prix History
Formula 1 made its Middle Eastern debut with the inaugural Bahrain Grand Prix in 2004. Since 2014, the event has been staged as a night race. Over the years, the sport has raced on three different layouts at Bahrain International Circuit - the Endurance Layout made a special appearance in 2010, while the Outer Loop was used for the one-off Sakhir Grand Prix in 2020. No one has won more races in Bahrain than Lewis Hamilton, who has triumphed five times.
