Why You Should Attend
The lower than average spectator numbers at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix makes the trackside atmosphere in Baku much more relaxed than at other city races. Racing at Baku City Circuit is always exciting and an opportunity to see one of F1’s fastest street circuits in action is not to be missed! The city is rich in history and culture, meaning there’s plenty to see away from the circuit, while the nightly headline concerts are another major draw to the event.
Where to Watch at Baku City Circuit
Most of the overtaking at Baku City Circuit happens at the end of the main straight, making section E of the Absheron Grandstand - the circuit’s main grandstand - an enviable place to see the race from as the drivers brake into the 90 degree first turn. The Azneft Grandstand is a good place to see qualifying from, with this being a corner where drivers can easily make a mistake. The cheaper Icheri Sheher Grandstand is also an option, where the drivers emerge from the tight castle section of track.
F1 Experiences Packages
Go behind the scenes at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix with an official grandstand or hospitality package from F1 Experiences. Enjoy exciting trackside activities at Baku City Circuit such as guided tours of the track and F1 Paddock, pit lane walks and priority access to the post-race podium ceremony.
F1 Paddock Club & Hospitality Suites
Take your trip to the Azerbaijan Grand Prix to the next level with tickets for the exclusive F1 Paddock Club, complete with all-inclusive hospitality, premium trackside views above the team garages, daily pit lane walks, and unique behind-the-scenes activities.
Azerbaijan Grand Prix History
Azerbaijan first joined the calendar in 2016 as host of the European Grand Prix. After a relatively quiet maiden appearance, Baku City Circuit burst into life for its second appearance - this time as host of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix - with Daniel Ricciardo taking a memorable win. The circuit has delivered high drama and unpredictability in almost every season since, with seven different drivers having won the nine races in Baku to date.
