Since first joining the F1 calendar in 2016, Baku has been the home of unpredictable racing. Racing through historic sections of the city and featuring one of the longest straights in Formula 1, this will be the tenth time that the modern classic Baku City Circuit has appeared on the schedule. Accessing the Circuit
- Location Map: Baku City Circuit
- Driving & Parking: Major roads within the city are shut down on race weekend, meaning driving a car to get from A to B is impractical. If you’ve secured a hotel room in the city centre, the easiest way to get to your grandstand will most likely be to walk!
- Public Transport: Public transport in Baku is convenient and inexpensive. The 28th May, Icheri Sheher and Sahil metro stations are within walking distance of Baku City Circuit. The metro can be a useful way of getting from one part of the circuit to another. You’ll need a BakuCard to use the metro service. Transport services are extended on race weekend, running for up to 20 hours per day.
- Entrance Gates & Opening Times: You’ll receive a wristband on entry to the circuit, which you’ll need for any re-entry on the same day. There are six entry gates at Baku City Circuit. Most of the grandstands are located in the southern section of track, close to the waterfront. Gates A to E are recommended for these grandstands, while Gate F is useful for the Filarmoniya Grandstand, and Gate G is best for the Icheri SheherGrandstand. F1 Paddock Club at the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix
Located directly above the teams’ garages on the main straight and overlooking all the action on the starting grid, the Paddock Club offers unrivalled views on Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend.
- Finding the Paddock Club, Parking & Shuttles: The Paddock Club can be accessed by a pedestrian bridge between Turns 1 and 2. View the map and information here.

2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Weekend Schedule
As a result of Azerbaijan’s day of remembrance taking place on Sunday, 27 September, this year’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix runs on a Thursday to Saturday schedule. Formula 2, which will race three times over the weekend, is the only support series at the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The local F1 times for race weekend are listed below. - 15:00-17:00: Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2026 (51 laps or 120 minutes)
Trackside Entertainment at the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix
- Fan Zone: There are multiple fan zones at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix; though you’ll find most of the entertainment in the main F1 Fanzone near the main straight. Drivers are usually interviewed on the main stage on Friday and Saturday morning. The stage is located behind the Main Grandstand, close to the Bulvar boulevard.
- Food & Drink: Food and beverage stalls are located in the southern section of track, around the circuit’s key grandstands. All food and drink must be purchased on site - outside food (excluding baby food) is prohibited.
- Trackside Concerts: Official concerts on Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend take place at Baku’s Crystal Hall. This year, Calvin Harris (Thursday, 24 September) and Katy Perry (Friday, 25 September) will be performing. To avoid an hour-long walk, free shuttles to the concert venue leave the track near the Maiden Tower. All holders of 4-day grandstand tickets are able to attend the concerts for free. Holders of other tickets can purchase separate tickets for the concerts.

Get the most from your time trackside at the 2026 Azerbaijan Grand Prix with our tips!
- The F1 drivers will be appearing on the main stage in the fanzone for a Fan Forum on Friday and Saturday. Different teams appear each day. Check the schedule here (select the filter for Fan Forum)
- It’s usually possible to get onto the track after the race finishes on Sunday. To see the podium ceremony up close, you can access the track via the gates close to the F1 Fan Zone, near the Absheron Grandstand.
- Be sure to explore Baku during your time in the city - one of the most interesting locations on the F1 calendar. Visit the Shirvanshah’s Palace and the Maiden Tower within the World Heritage Site.
