Why You Should Attend
Few cities embrace Formula 1’s presence like Montreal, where you’ll find street parties and festivals all over the city as fans descend on the city for the sport’s annual visit. The Canadian Grand Prix is one of the best-attended races of the year - and with good reason. The circuit, complete with its tight hairpin and infamous “Wall of Champions”, has provided many memorable moments over the years and racing at the track will no doubt continue to be exciting for F1’s latest era of car.
Where to Watch at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve
Tickets are always in high demand for the Canadian Grand Prix! There are many grandstands located around the circuit, plus General Admission spots, meaning there’s plentiful options for where to view the race from. The best picks are located in the first sector of the track. Grandstand 1 is the choice for those wanting to see the start line action, while Grandstands 11 and 12 are the best for witnessing the first corners of the circuit. It’s worth noting that the Platine Grandstand is the circuit’s only covered stand. Other good choices include grandstands near the hairpin - Grandstands 21, 15 and 24 - a likely spot for overtaking.
